CPR, First Aid, and Fire Extinguisher Training

Would you be able to confidently spring into action to help save someone’s life or put out a fire?

“Maybe?” or “hopefully?”

Those aren’t very good answers to this question…right?

With Bensen Fire & Safety Consulting’s onsite CPR, first aid, and fire extinguisher training classes, your group will learn what to do in an emergency and will be better prepared to act – calmly and competently.

What makes our classes different?

We design your training especially for you. We will meet with you ahead of time to see your facility and learn about your policies and procedures, so that we can tailor each class to your specific situation. We also document the training sessions so that you have an official record of what was covered.

Our fire extinguisher training classes are interactive and are designed to help you learn by doing. While we can train you using a live fire if you’d like, we also have a digital simulator. With the digital simulator, you’ll get to practice the techniques and avoid the extra cost of refilling your fire extinguishers. You also won’t have to worry about inclement weather on the day of training, because it can be done indoors.

Why is this personalization important?

The training you need depends on several things: your facility, your line of work, the specific hazards you might face, and your policies. A training class for lifeguards or babysitters will look different than a training class for the employees of a law office, because the facilities and hazards are different.

Here’s why this is so important: let’s say we’re giving a CPR training class at a manufacturing plant, and we tell the class that one person should pull out their cell phone and call 911 while a second person begins CPR. But the company’s policy is that employees aren’t allowed to have their phones with them on the factory floor.

Wouldn’t it be better for us to know that in advance, so that we can give instructions that are more relevant?

By developing a comprehensive pre-training plan, we do know in advance. We take the time to design effective training that you and your group are more likely to remember and be able to execute with the resources you have available.

On your schedule

We offer our training classes any time, day or night, 7 days a week. This means that shift workers can be trained on their normal schedules, saving you potential overtime costs and scheduling hassles.

Other specialized training

Our safety knowledge runs deep. We also offer training and emergency preparedness in:

  • Bloodborne pathogens
